Please note that the following mask requirements are those of ISD 194 and Community Education (the school district department that manages our gym use) as a condition of allowing LNGBA to use their facilities for the season. For the district, all masking requirements are based on the cases per 10,000 rate for Dakota County.
Until further notice, all LNGBA players and parents are subject to the following face covering requirements:
All persons over the age of 2 are required to wear a face covering when inside ANY Lakeville Area Schools building. This website will be updated when this requirement is changed.
It is very important that LNGBA have 100% compliance with these school district policies. Buildings are monitored to ensure that we are following district rules, and failure to do so will jeopardize our ability to continue using school gyms, which are obviously a critical resource for our organization. We will update you any time these requirements change.
(These policies will change as guidance from ISD 194, MN Department of Health, MN State High School League, MYAS/MYBA, or CDC change)
If your child is not feeling well, DO NOT attend basketball activities. Whether or not your daughter is experiencing symptoms that may be related to Covid, when in doubt STAY HOME.
If a player tests positive for Covid, it is imperative that LNGBA takes steps to minimize the impact to that player's team and notify impacted families. Please use the confidential form below to notify us if your daughter has a positive Covid test. LNGBA will keep your personal information confidential, but will need to notify the team if they were potentially exposed.
Athletes and Coaches with positive tests:
Players and coaches testing positive for Covid-19 should confidentially report on the LNGBA home page. We will follow MYAS recommendations for return to play. In most instances this means players are able to return to basketball activities in as little as 5 days when they no longer have symptoms. Link to the MYAS guidelines below.
Please note, with both the school district and MYAS, the day symptoms began or the positive test was done is day ZERO when doing the return to play calculation.
